Kin-Nection Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 4, 2026
This policy is published by Kin-Nection LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. It covers the waitlist form at kin-nection.com. It does not cover the Kin-Nection application at app.kin-nection.com, which has its own policy.
Kin-Nection is a US product. Our waitlist is intended for residents of the United States.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- Your email address. Required — it is the only way we can tell you when we launch.
- Your first name. Optional. We use it to address you by name.
- Your ZIP code. Optional. We use it to know which parts of the country to ship to first.
When you submit the form, our servers also record:
- A one-way hash of your IP address. We never store your actual IP address. The hash lets us spot and block automated signups without keeping a record of where you connected from.
- Your browser's user-agent string — the browser and operating system you used — for the same abuse-prevention purpose.
- How you arrived, if that information is in the link you followed: the referring page, which page of ours you landed on, and any campaign tags (
utm_parameters) in the link. This tells us which of our efforts are reaching people. - Who referred you, if you arrived through another member's referral link, and who you refer, if you share your own.
We do not ask for, and have no use for, your street address, your phone number, your date of birth, or payment information. We are not taking deposits or payments through the waitlist.
Why we collect it
We use what you give us for three things and nothing else:
- To confirm you meant to sign up. We send one email asking you to confirm. If you do not confirm, we do not email you again.
- To tell you about Kin-Nection. Launch news, availability, and occasional updates on how the product is coming along. That is the entire purpose of this list.
- To keep the list honest. Blocking bot signups, and counting referrals so that queue position reflects real people.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent, trade, or share it with anyone for their own marketing. We do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers who help us operate the waitlist, and only so they can do that job:
| Provider | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Database — where your signup is stored |
| Vercel | Website hosting, the form's server code, and page analytics that count visits without cookies and without following you to other sites |
| Resend | Sending the confirmation and announcement emails, and telling us when one bounces or is reported as spam so we stop sending to that address |
Each is bound by its agreement with us to use your information only to provide that service. We will disclose information if the law requires it, and we would tell you unless we were legally prohibited from doing so.
Your information is stored and processed in the United States.
If Kin-Nection is ever sold or merged, the waitlist may transfer with the business. If that happens, we will email you first, and you will be able to leave the list before any transfer takes effect.
What we show other people
If someone refers you, they can see how many people they have referred. They cannot see your name, your email address, or anything else about you. The same is true of anyone you refer: you see a count, never their details.
Your founding-cohort number and referral count are shown to anyone who opens your referral link. That is why that page shows only the number and the count, never your name or your email address.
How long we keep it
- If you never confirm your signup, we delete your record 90 days after you submitted the form.
- If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you immediately and strip your record down to your email address, the date you asked to leave, and the record of your original consent. We keep that as a suppression list, specifically so we never email you again by mistake, and so we can show that you did opt in if anyone asks. If we deleted it entirely, a future import could put you back on the list.
- Otherwise, we keep your signup until you ask us to remove it, or until the waitlist has served its purpose and we retire it.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of any email we send. It works immediately, and it keeps working. You do not need to log in or give a reason.
- See, correct, or delete what we hold about you by emailing tstoessel@kin-nection.com. We will respond within 30 days. We honor deletion requests from anyone who asks, regardless of where they live.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for how to interpret it, so we do not respond to it. We do not track you across other websites, so there is nothing for the signal to turn off.
Tracking across other sites
We do not place advertising trackers on the waitlist page. The only analytics on it is Vercel's, which counts page visits without cookies and without following you to other websites. No other party collects information about your activity across different websites through our waitlist. If that ever changes, we will update this policy and say so plainly before the change takes effect.
Children
Kin-Nection's waitlist is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, email tstoessel@kin-nection.com and we will delete the record.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will post the updated policy here with a new effective date and email everyone on the waitlist before the change takes effect.
